"I am Lisa B. and have spent the last 24 years teaching high school algebra, algebra 2, biology and chemistry at The Potter's House High School in Wyoming, Michigan. I retired from the classroom to have a more flexible schedule and be able to spend time with my grandchildren. I love teaching and the sense of accomplishment when "it clicks" for a student I'm helping. I have a nurturing and encouraging demeanor which helps those who struggle with self-confidence.

I have a Michigan Department of Education Professional Teaching Certificate which qualifies me to teach grade 7-12 Chemistry and Mathematics. Both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees are from Calvin University. My undergrad majors were Chemistry and Mathematics combined with a concentration on Secondary Education. My Masters Degree is for Curriculum and Instruction, in which I focused primarily on Biology.

All my teaching experience is with 9-12 grade students. Most has been in the classroom setting. Some of it has involved individual and small group tutoring. I have designed courses to accommodate groups of diverse learners. This includes English Language Learners and students with IEPs.
