I acquired a tutoring experience when I was tutoring students who were in the level below mine, in the school were I was attending. In order to successfully tutor those students I used to use the techniques and strategies that my good teachers were using. They use to work on the problems along with the students in order to get a good understanding of the materials. Once the students get good understanding of the materials, they used to let them work on their own on similar problems. By helping them were they get stuck, until they were able to work independently. This is the same techniques and strategies that I was using to tutor students who were below my level, in the school that I was attending.
