"I'm a father a 3, a student for life, and I love to gain and share knowledge. I grew up in suburban Pennsylvania, where my love of learning began. I was and am an unashamed nerd, a National Honors Society member, a Mathlete, and a lover and performer of the arts.

In high school, I graduated in the top 10 of my class, got a combined 1440 on the SAT (760 in math!), and earned many college scholarships. At Penn State University I was a member of the Schreyer Scholars program, and I again graduated near the top of my class with degrees in Film/TV production and Theater.
I've always had a natural inclination towards math--it comes quickly to me, and I have methods to teach others to do the same. Math can be fun! My children all share my love of math. It's infectious!
I also have a real love of the English language. I always search for the perfect word to convey what I'm thinking or feeling. I've written several plays, including a solo show that I performed in the Hollywood Fringe Festival to rave reviews. Vocabulary and grammar really distinguish a writer or speaker, and help a person stand out in any form of communication.
I was a Cub Scout den leader for years, and I used to teach a children's video production camp. In the scouts, I saw boys grow to love the outdoors, camping, working with tools, and starting a path toward being good, conscientious people. Teaching moviemaking was a blast: we made a weekly TV show and a dozen movies that aired on local television, and it was the precursor to my own career in Hollywood.
I have been a professional video editor for over 20 years, working for Disney, Netflix, NBCUniversal, and more.
Working with kids is a passion: I love to see the light bulb turn on as a new concept dawns on someone for the first time, or see someone succeed. I feel pride along with them. I work best with elementary and middle school students, but I'm here for anyone who's ready to learn." less...
