Experience:

For the past seven years, my primary profession has been as a Private Tutor for Math for grades 4-12. My areas of specialization are in Math curriculum for grades 6-12 and test prep for GED, ACT, & SAT Math, as well as the Spirit of Math Program. You can check out my website:

Prior to tutoring math professionally, I taught ballroom dance to grades 4-6 in the public & Catholic school systems through Dancing Classrooms (showcased in the films Mad Hot Ballroom and Take the Lead). I also teach Latin dance.

Prior to tutoring math, I had a successful 15-year career in Banking and Investments at head-office management level for Canada's two largest banks. I also worked for the Canadian regulator for investment funds, and for Canada's central bank, the Bank of Canada.

Education:

I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Finance Major from St. Mary's University in Halifax. I also completed a cross-discipline Engineering Diploma from Dalhousie University, as well as a French Proficiency Certification from George Brown College. I've earned a number of math-related investment courses (eg. CSC, CFA Level 1, etc.). In addition, I've studied American Sign Language and am able to sign at an intermediate level with deaf students.

Police Check:

I have the regular police check in addition to the more in-depth Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) to be able to work with children & the elderly. I also have references from both parents and students.
