"My name is Eric and I am Master's Student at the University of Pennsylvania studying mathematics with a 4.0 GPA. While I am new to Wyzant, I am an experienced tutor and love to help students succeed in math and physics. I have over 1000 hours of experience, and I have helped many students succeed in AP Calculus, the SAT/ACT, and many high school and college level math classes. I have also won many math and physics competitions, including getting first place out of 30,000 people on the Pascal math competition and a bronze medal at the International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Learning math is hard. At first there is an overwhelming amount of vocabulary you don't know, there are concepts that are difficult to understand, and it's not clear what anything really means. But when you practice with a teacher or a tutor, every problem that you solve makes things clearer. My passion is helping students through the journey from confusion to understanding.

Many of my students start off considering themselves not to be "math people". In other words, they believe they were born to bad at math.
