I am also available to instruct chess at the beginner-intermediate level. My rating level is Expert (above 2000). I've been playing actively for over 13 years and some of my highlights include 5th place NYS K-9 Championship, 13th place National K-9 Championship, 10th place team (of which I was the captain) National K-12 Championship, and other big earnings beyond the scholastic level.

I have experience working with children through a summer camp, where I individually tutored children in math in addition to my counselor duties. I don''t have a set teaching style; I adapt to the specific student''s needs and abilities and teach in a way that will be most beneficial to the student. However, I do believe in teaching the concepts behind the material instead of straight memorization. Then, plenty of examples to ensure thorough understanding of topic.
