"I recently graduated from California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Data Science. During my junior and senior years as an undergrad, I was a teaching assistant in Introduction to Environmental Science and Introduction to Geosciences. I taught six lab sections, where I lectured given material, assigned and graded assignments, and demonstrated lab activities. I provided study sessions and one-on-one tutoring to my students in need, especially before exams.

Since graduating, I have been a private tutor to four students in math, science, and English, with students ranging from middle school to high school. All of my tutoring is one-on-one and tailored to the student's needs and ability to focus. I want students to feel included in the learning process, so I like to ask many questions and see where their mind is. I usually have practice problems based on what the student is currently learning, and I mix in topics they have struggled with.

I tutor two students at the library, one student online, and one at home. I prefer to tutor online, but I am flexible if the parents can communicate effectively. When tutoring in person, I have a portable whiteboard to show examples, and when tutoring online, I use an online whiteboard." less...
