"Academic Credentials & Tutoring Philosophy

I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Biology on the Pre-Dental Track at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC). My academic foundation is exceptionally strong: I currently hold a 4.0 GPA at UMKC, demonstrating mastery in rigorous college-level science and math coursework. I was also selected as a STAHR Scholar, a prestigious Kansas City internship where I was one of only 15 college students chosen from over 100 applicants.

My high school record includes graduating with a 3.6 GPA, High Honors, and the Summa Cum Laude award. I successfully completed 7 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including Environmental Science, Biology, Psychology, Calculus, Chemistry, Language, and Literature. This rigorous coursework has deepened both my subject knowledge and my ability to communicate ideas clearly.

My tutoring experience ranges from helping siblings and cousins with elementary schoolwork to assisting college classmates. I currently tutor over 7 students in grades 7-12, specializing in math and biology. This high volume of experience has taught me patience, flexibility, and how to adapt my teaching style for various ages and learning needs.

In every session, I focus on building confidence as much as understanding. I emphasize breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, using relevant examples, and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing and celebrating their progress.
