"I am a software technologist with a background in Math and Physics. I have taught algebra, calculus and science since I was in college. For the past 2 years I've been instructing grade through high school kids at a local Math & Science studio.

Mastering math requires conceptualization and practice. Regretfully, schools rarely provide either. I explain concepts from the ground up and provide exercises to solidify the understanding. My students learn that math doesn’t have to be hard or tedious. It is not a random collection of magic tricks but an esthetically pleasing, common sense structure.

I easily establish rapport with students of all ages and mathematical convictions, and develop a personalized approach that makes them most productive. Because math is highly modular, in most cases I can quickly help them with the areas they struggle with. Occasionally, it becomes necessary to review and relearn some prerequisites, but it happens relatively rarely.
