"I am a recent graduate of Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. My academic training has given me a strong foundation across a wide range of mathematical topics, from elementary arithmetic and problem-solving to calculus and statistics. This broad background allows me to confidently tutor students at many levels and adapt my instruction to meet each student’s individual needs.

I have prior tutoring experience working with high school students, particularly in SAT and ACT math preparation, as well as in coursework ranging from pre-algebra through calculus. I have worked primarily in one-on-one tutoring settings, where I focus on helping students strengthen foundational skills, improve test performance, and build effective problem-solving strategies. I am also very comfortable tutoring middle school and elementary students, and I enjoy helping younger learners develop confidence, curiosity, and a positive relationship with math early on.

My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and concept-focused. I believe students learn best when they understand the “why” behind the math, so I break down problems step by step and adjust explanations until they make sense.
