"My name is Sam and I'd be happy to help you with your high school, early college, and SAT math. With 4 years of tutoring under my belt and a history of academic success, my subjects of expertise include pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, precalculus, calculus 1, and general test taking strategies.

I am also an expert at SAT math who got an 800 on my own SAT math and a 1560 overall after receiving my own tutoring from some of the best tutors. Lastly, I am a national merit scholar and can help you or your child work to achieve that same distinction. I can teach you the techniques that allowed me to excel at the SAT and open up a lot of opportunities for myself. After high school, I attended the University of Florida on a full scholarship and obtained my degree in Mechanical Engineering.

My tutoring style is patient and laid back, focusing in on your individual needs and my previous experience has all been in private one on one tutoring with high school aged students. In each lesson we will focus in on correcting the misunderstandings that are causing you trouble, and each lesson will end with a couple of tailored problems for you to do in the coming days to solidify your new understanding of the material. Over time, we'll build on our previous work and the work of your teachers to create a strong foundation in math that will set you up to succeed in future math courses and in life. For SAT math prep, we will focus on practice problems that you have had trouble with, understanding together why you got the problem wrong and helping to prevent you from getting similar problems wrong on the real test. I'll also teach you the simple and easy tips and tricks that I learned to take my own SAT score from the 600's to a perfect 800 with a modest amount of practice.
