"I tutor Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Writing with a structured, step-by-step approach that helps students build confidence quickly. In each session, we start with a short diagnostic to pinpoint exactly where the confusion begins, then I teach a repeatable method and guide the student through practice until they can solve similar problems independently. I’m patient and straightforward, and I focus on the highest-impact skills for homework, quizzes, and tests.

I attended West Virginia University and Blue Ridge Community & Technical College and completed coursework across multiple areas of study (including psychology and general education). Throughout school and in everyday life, I regularly helped classmates, friends, and family members learn math and writing—explaining concepts in plain language, breaking problems into smaller steps, and showing how to check work to avoid common mistakes. I’m especially good at working with students who feel “stuck,” because I can quickly identify the missing piece and rebuild it without overwhelming them.

I work well with middle school and high school students (and can support GED-level math as needed), whether the goal is catching up, staying on track, or preparing for an upcoming test. I do not complete assignments for students; instead, I teach the process so the student can do the work confidently on their own.
