"Hello! I am currently a student at the College of San Mateo working towards a degree in mathematics. I started tutoring last year when my Calculus professor recommended me to the tutoring department at the College of San Mateo, and I've been hooked ever since! I love helping people acquire a deeper intuition for all of math's tricky concepts.

I currently have a GPA of 4. 0, have been on the Dean's list several semesters in a row, and have tutored many students both one on one and in the classroom for almost a year now. I specialize in single variable calculus, which may be called Calculus I and Calculus II for college students or AB/BC Calc for high schoolers.

My approach to tutoring places a lot of emphasis on conceptual understanding. I rarely just show a student how to solve a type of problem—I explain why we solve the problem in that way, what other approaches one might take, and what larger implications the problem might have for the subject. I believe that ensuring a student truly understands the work they're doing establishes a strong mathematical foundation that allows them to succeed both in the present and in the future.
