"Hi, I’m Joe D. Let me tell you about my tutoring experience. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Physics. I went to a L.A. Valley Community College and received my associate’s degree in physics. While attending I tutored college students with mathematics for four semesters. I tutored in an open setting where student did their homework and raised their hands to get help and I also tutored one on one. I also received the honor to be on the Dean’s list for excellence in mathematics. After graduating I attended California State University Northridge where I tutored university students in mathematics and physics for four semesters. I also had studying time with my classmates, a tutoring collaboration, in which I was at the chalkboard finding solutions to solving problems while my classmates were taking notes along with giving their input. Mathematics and physics are my passion and I enjoy helping students fulfill their needs.

When I work with you, I will work to find the best avenue for you to gain understanding of the subject matter at hand. What communicates with you best, is my job to figure out. There is more than one way to attack a given problem and I will seek the best avenue of communication that best enhances your understanding. I will make sure you have a good understanding of the rules and concepts under consideration. The math and physics courses I’m comfortable tutoring are, elementary math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, algebra/calculus-based physics.
