"Hello! I'm Kelly and I have been a teacher and tutor for over 20 years. I currently teach AP Statistics, Introductory statistics and AP Computer Science Principles but have taught Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry and College Math. Watching students grasp concepts and seeing their confidence increase is what motivates me to teach. I try to instill a love of learning in every student.

Aside from plenty of experience, I have patience and a fantastic ability to make difficult concepts easy to understand. I am a firm believer in having students understand what they are doing and why as opposed to simply memorizing steps. My library of personal resources is vast and over the years I have learned to differentiate instruction to suit each student rather than a one size fits all approach.

My undergraduate degree is a BS in logistics management from the University of Maryland. I also have a Master's degree in mathematics education from Montclair State University and a Certificate in Computer Science Education from the College of St. Scholastica. I have been a teacher for 19 years in a public high school in the north east and spent three years prior teaching math in a private high school.

I have tutored many students at both the high school and college level to help them succeed. I also have a lot of experience working with adult learners taking college statistics and algebra as a requirement in fields like nursing and criminal justice.
