"Hi, I'm Japneet! I graduated early from UC Berkeley with a Bachelors in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science. I've been tutoring professionally for 4 years, 3 of which I have done online during college. I primarily focus on mathematics, though I am confident in my English comprehension and composition abilities.

As a student, I found a personal interest in trigonometry, finding it the most easily applied to everyday situations (besides decimals) and from studying that as a child, I set the foundation for what I wanted to do. Through my time as a tutor, I've taught Integrated Math I,II, and III (Algebra I,II,III and Geometry respectively) with a special focus in Algebra II and III. I've also taught a fair bit of pre-calculus to my students in a well-known tutorign company, aiming to understand how they teach them and how I can break it down in a way that's easiest for them to understand.

Learning is not a one-way path. Different students require different methods and motivations, and that's something I always practice with my students. First, I outline what we are covering, then I begin the lesson, throwing in some example problems, and then finally the student will independently practice as I check their work. I've tutored kids ranging from ages 4-15, though I have the most experience teaching middle and high school students. I'm excited to be able to help students tackle difficult concepts and gain confidence in their own abilities.
