"I have over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring. I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering and I have completed graduate coursework in Mathematics Education. I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Math Analysis, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, and chemistry. My experience includes large classes, small groups, individual lessons, as well as remedial, standard, honors, and Advanced Placement material.

My students all know that I am enthusiastic about the subject, and I have had great success in transferring this enthusiasm during my lessons, especially through the use of my unique sense of humor to create an engaging environment while maintaining a rigorous curriculum. Of the thousands of students I taught over the years, they have consistently said their favorite things about me as a teacher are how I help them not be scared of or confused by math, that I support them and make them feel comfortable learning, that they are able to retain information better, and that they feel prepared for the classes they take in the future. As a mother of two children who have gone through high school and college, I am aware of the stresses and challenges faced by students and parents, as well as the high pressure to perform well academically.

My teaching philosophy and experience with a variety of methods allows me to individualize instruction and modify my teaching strategies to reach each student.
