"Hi I am Steve! I have a BS, Masters and PhD in mathematics and have been teaching mathematics in the classroom and online for 30 years. I am a passionate and caring teacher and thrive to see my students succeed in their lives.

I started my teaching career teaching privately while doing my BS. I continued to teach privately and was a TA all the way through my PhD. My PhD advisor is at Georgia Tech. I have held teaching positions at several schools of learning over my career including being a Full Professor at Georgia Southern University and being affiliated in various capacities at University of Michigan, Penn State University, University of Minnesota and at several high schools.

I enjoy teaching both High School students and College students the following subjects: Algebra (1-2), Trigonometry, Precalculus (1-4).

My teaching style (online) encourages students to feel comfortable and to ask as many questions as they like. Mathematics is a challenging subject and one needs a caring, knowledgeable and patient teacher and at the same time hard work to succeed. I do a lot of applied mathematics in my own research so am able to convey to students many reasons why what they are studying is applicable to real life.

Throughout my career, I have instilled in many of my students a love and interest in the subject and many have gone on to pursue careers which involve mathematics for example, engineering and many others. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your mathematics!" less...
