"I'm Nick, a PhD student at Duke studying signals processing and electrical engineering. I finished my Masters degree over the summer of 2014, and prior to that, graduated with a 3.97 GPA from University of Pittsburgh's electrical engineering program. My everyday work involves extensive advanced mathematics and statistics, and I get excited about learning new concepts.

Math has been a passion of mine since my grandfather started teaching me basics as a 3 year old. In middle school and high school, I competed in and won many mathematics competitions in middle and high school. I started tutoring in high school and taught my local MathCounts branch, which resulted in one of my students winning the Johnstown regional competition and progressing to the Pennsylvania's state competition.
