"Hello! My name is Mira – I'm a senior pre-med student at Yale University studying Philosophy. I offer tutoring for the MCAT, SAT, ACT, and PSAT; I scored in the 100th percentile in each of these exams (526 MCAT, 1570 SAT, 36 ACT, 1500 PSAT) and have several years of experience working as a counselor and independent tutor for undergrads, high schoolers, and middle schoolers. Having taken these exams fairly recently, I understand how challenging and frustrating it can be to study for them. I really empathize with my students, and feel it's important to provide emotional support alongside my academic knowledge.

As a senior in high school and freshman in college, I worked one-on-one with students preparing for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT, focusing on science, writing, and reading. More recently, I've tutored high schoolers and undergrads in chemistry, biology, and literature. I've also been employed as a counselor for first-year students, helping advise and support my students with academic and general life planning. I currently help one of my philosophy professors create lesson plans for one of their classes. I also produce and record my own educational philosophy podcast.

In my experience, each student has a different learning style, so my tutoring will adapt to fit your particular needs. I can help you craft a study plan, suggest resources, work through practice problems, explain difficult subjects, give pop quizzes, offer tips and tricks that worked well for me, and provide writing edits.

My aim is to provide the help you need at a price you can afford. I offer different hourly rates for each service, and am open to negotiating depending on your situation. My lessons are provided remotely, via Zoom, Google Meet, or FaceTime.
