Welcome! My name is Omid. I am a General Surgery resident physician with over ten years of tutoring experience, having dedicated around 3,400 hours to helping students.

I’m proud to share that I scored in the 99th percentile for the Chemistry/Physics section of the MCAT and the 90th percentile for the Biology/Biochemistry section. I feel very comfortable preparing students for this exam.

Being a student myself, I understand the key points that teachers and professors emphasize and the types of questions they ask. I’ve had the pleasure of tutoring a wide range of students, from kids and teenagers (ages 9-18) to college-level students (ages 18-33). Each age group has been a great experience for me, reinforcing my belief in the importance of two-way communication between students and tutors. I strive to understand how each student learns best and tailor my approach to meet their needs. To continually improve, I always seek feedback from my students to ensure they receive the excellent service they deserve.

When it comes to the sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.), I focus on making the material understandable and relatable, minimizing the need for rote memorization. I aim to connect subject matter to everyday experiences, helping students grasp concepts more effectively.
