"I’m currently an MD/MBA student at Case Western University who will be applying to pediatric residency programs this fall. I’m very familiar with tutoring, starting a tutoring program for an inner city Baltimore high school, and holding private tutoring sessions in the Tri-state area. I also spent time working with children at a mental hospital in New York, frequently tutoring and assisting in their elementary, middle school or high school curriculums. I can teach most anyone especially as it pertains to core sciences, and as a medical student, I know all too well that patience, kindness, and efficiency are incredibly key to student learning. A laid back, creative, practical, and sometimes pattern-based approach has been very helpful for my students, frequently seeing improved assignment and test scores. We remember and learn at a higher level when multiple parts of our brains are engaged in an effort to understand material beyond rote memorization.
