"I graduated from Duke University with a biology degree. While there, I was a teaching assistant for multiple courses, and I also volunteered to tutor at local elementary schools. After graduating, I was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to teach English in Taiwan. I did this for a year prior to beginning medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. At medical school, I was a tutor through the Teaching in Medical Education elective, tutoring medical students in their preclinical coursework. Recently graduated, I will be pursuing a career as an anesthesiologist at NYU for residency.

I am flexible with my tutoring style, and prefer to, metaphorically, meet the student where they are at. I am passionate about empowering students and helping them to succeed, and I believe that all standardized testing can be conquered through strategic prep and test taking skills. I understand that these are skills that take practice and oftentimes some guidance, and that will be where my expertise will be most useful.

Personally, I hope to continue being involved in medical education in the future, and I am excited at the prospect of helping students build their confidence achieve their goals." less...
