"Hi! I am Meghan. I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Math has always been one of my strengths, and I’ve been helping others with it since high school. Back then, I worked with students in algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus, and I was also part of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) and Co-President of the Math Tutoring Club. In college, I kept tutoring classmates in calculus and also worked as a teaching assistant for a Dynamics course, where I led review sessions and gave one-on-one help when students needed extra support.
I’ve had the chance to work with students in different settings, from one-on-one tutoring to larger group review sessions, which taught me how to adjust my approach depending on the student’s needs. I know math can feel overwhelming, but I really enjoy breaking problems down step by step, so it feels more manageable. My favorite part of tutoring is seeing students gain confidence as they realize they can solve problems on their own.
As a tutor, I like to tailor my sessions to each student. Sometimes that means going back to the basics and reviewing fundamentals, other times it’s lots of practice problems or focused exam prep. My goal is always to make math less stressful and more approachable while helping students build the confidence and skills they need to succeed." less...
