"Hello, my name is Josh, and I am currently a mechanical engineer working full-time in the U.S. defense industry. I studied at both Biola University and University of Southern California, earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from USC in 2018. At Biola, I worked as the Recitation instructor and TA for the calculus-based physics courses taught to all engineering students. Recitation was an opportunity for students to get extra help with the course content from their peers and from me in a classroom setting. This sometimes involved me teaching many students at once and sometimes involved just 1 on 1 tutoring. During this time, I was also the TA for the Physics Lab course, which gave me and students an opportunity to apply their physics knowledge to the real world, taking a step back from the abstract theory that can be difficult to comprehend. In my third year at Biola, I also did private 1 on 1 physics tutoring sessions in the school library for most of the school year. After transferring to USC, I decided not to pursue more tutoring opportunities and instead just focus on my course work, but I still enjoyed helping my classmates wherever I could.

I have two years of experience tutoring, which I have greatly enjoyed, and it has helped me understand different students learning styles and abilities. Whether you are really struggling and need thorough walkthroughs, or you think you got it and just want to check your answers, I would love to work with you. I am a patient and down to earth person who has always loved helping people with homework problems, and I have been wanting to get back into it ever since becoming a mechanical engineer. Although I only tutored physics courses officially in college, physics involves all sorts of math from algebra to geometry to calculus, and I enjoy walking through the math parts just as much as the physics parts. So, I also can tutor math from basic algebra to calculus.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have." less...
