"Hello! I am Mark and I love tutoring physics! Physics was always one of those subjects that naturally came to me and is what led me to pursue a bachelors and masters both in Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering is the most physics based of the engineering disciplines. The underlying physics concepts lay the foundation for classes like Statics and Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and even Mechanics of Materials. Because of this, my understanding of basic physics is at a level where I was able to tutor calculus based physics 1 and 2 part time for 4 years. This consisted of one on one sessions where we focused on homework help, as well as large group sessions where we focused on exam prep. While Physics was my favorite thing to tutor, I was also able to tutor Calc 1 for similar reasons. In an engineering curriculum you take multiple calculus classes, however the concepts of Calc 1 are foundational for multiple engineering classes.
While I am new to tutoring on Wyzant, I am not new to tutoring. I love helping students reach the "Aha" moments when they are studying and have developed techniques to explain complicated physics concepts, simply. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!" less...
