"Hello! My name is Grant. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in mathematics. I achieved a 3.3 GPA overall, with a 3.8 GPA in my last 2 semesters. I have decided to stay at Northeastern to pursue my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration in Thermofluids. In the graduate-level classes I have completed thus far (Aerodynamics, Gas Turbine Combustion, and Mathematical Methods for Engineers), I have held a 3.7 GPA.

My strengths lie in physics, mathematics, engineering, and problem-solving. I have a year of experience tutoring these subjects, particularly AP physics and calculus to high-school level students. When tutoring, I want the student to solve the problem themselves. I serve as a knowledge base that the student can use if they get stuck. In other words, in my tutoring sessions, the student drives the lesson, highlighting the areas where they need help the most. I strive to create a safe environment with a conversational tone where all questions are welcome. In my experience, students may be afraid or embarrassed to ask questions to a professor, which prevents the further development of their understanding. My goal is to be like a friend that the student can go to, free of judgment.

I specialize in one-on-one, online sessions. This allows the best cross between flexibility and connection with the student. I find great satisfaction when a student has that moment where it all "clicks", so to speak, and I will do everything I can to get them to that point. I am very patient and willing to help any student of any level and will tailor lessons to the level of the student. Lastly, I am looking to expand my tutoring with first and second-year engineering students, covering physics, math, and other engineering-related courses.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions! I always look forward to interacting with other students!" less...
