"Hey there, I'm Yeonju! It's very nice to meet you. I'm currently a 3rd year medical student. I have a long-established passion for teaching and mentoring, and I look forward to working with you!

As an undergraduate, I studied computational biology and completed premedical prerequisites (including physiology, genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, as well as 2 semesters each of general chemistry, organic chemistry, chemistry lab, biology lab, and physics). During this time, I taught as a paid Teaching Assistant for a computer science course for both undergraduate, graduate, and summer high school students. I took the MCAT in 2019 and scored in the 95th percentile.

After graduating college, I worked for 3 years in clinical research, focused on oncology and data analytics. During this time, I was a Teaching Assistant for a programming course for employees and faculty at a national research institution. I also taught a zoom-based SAT prep course free-of-charge for underserved communities, and tutored in math, chemistry, and biology for high school students. Most recently, as a medical student, I prepared for and passed Step 1.
