"I am a medical school admit with undergraduate training in violin performance, chemistry, and chemical biology. My academic background gives me a strong foundation in both STEM subjects and disciplined learning, which I bring into my tutoring work. I scored a 1460 on the SAT and a 517 on the MCAT, and I specialize in helping students build strong problem-solving skills, effective study habits, and confidence in high-stakes testing environments. I am comfortable teaching a wide range of subjects including biology, general and organic chemistry, and standardized test preparation.
I have over four years of experience tutoring students from elementary through college level in both one-on-one and small group settings. I began tutoring during my undergraduate studies, working with K–12 students as well as pre-med and science-focused college students. My experience includes private tutoring, volunteer-based academic support, and structured academic programs. I have helped students strengthen their foundational skills, improve their grades, and achieve significant score increases on standardized exams, including major improvements in SAT performance.
My teaching approach is highly personalized and student-centered. I begin by assessing each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals, and then create a structured plan tailored to their learning style. I focus on teaching clear frameworks for approaching problems, active practice, and confidence-building techniques. I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing long-term academic skills." less...
