"Hi! My name is Sofia and I graduated from Pace University's Pforzheimer Honors College summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a English literature minor. I started tutoring science in high school and continued in college. While in college I tutored many biology classes such as General Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, and Physiology. While working with students I realized that every student learns differently and I made sure to cater to their individual learning style. For example, in the first meeting I like to find out if my student is an auditory, visual, or reading/writing learner. This way I can tailor the session accordingly. My main goal in tutoring complex biological topics is to break down these complex topics into smaller and more digestible information. I give clear explanations and as the tutoring continues I encourage the students to work more independently.

I am currently a second year medical student and have been very successful in my courses.
