"Hi, my name is Kai (he/him)! I am an MD/MPH student at Tufts University School of Medicine. I completed my BS in Public Health, and before that, my AS in Chemistry. I am a very down-to-earth person and like to keep tutoring sessions as casual-style conversations to maintain a stress-free environment where it feels easy to approach me. I have a proven track record in personal statement and essay writing, having received over a dozen scholarships, several internship offers, and, of course, acceptance to med school! For several years, I have helped high school students craft stellar personal statements to get accepted into their top-choice schools. More recently, I have helped undergraduate students get accepted into nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and graduate programs.

With over 2 years of undergraduate chemistry under my belt, I offer many tricks and methods to make the subject easy to understand. I scored in the top 4% on the Chemistry/Physics section of the Medical College Admissions Test. I've also scored in the top 1% and 10% for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, respectively, on the American Chemical Society Exams.

I have a very firm grasp on undergraduate-level principles in Epidemiology, including study design, measures of disease (prevalence, incidence, etc.), inferential statistics, and bias and confounding. Having focused on computational methods during my Bachelor's, I am proficient in tutoring these concepts and applying them through statistical software (R and Stata).
