"I am a California Certified (CTA) Science Teacher with five years of teaching experience. I've taught in various settings, including general science in middle school and AP Biology in high school. Undoubtedly, teaching different types of science classes has allowed me to gain experience with different age levels, skill sets, and learning needs.

A little about me: I graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. While at UCSD, I worked in cancer research and co-taught a Genetics class. After my undergraduate studies, I received my Master's in Education from LMU and went on to teach science (middle school and high school levels) in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I recently left the education field to enter medical school, with the goal of specializing in OB/GYN or Nephrology.

From AP Biology to middle school Algebra, I'm comfortable tutoring any STEM-related subject. I can also help with test prep for the SAT and MCAT.

When it comes to my teaching philosophy, I believe in culturally responsive pedagogy and discussion-based learning. Instead of having students sit through lectures and memorize material without purpose, I like to engage them in meaningful dialogue where they can share their thoughts and learn to solve problems on their own.
