"I’m Jackson, a dedicated tutor with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Arizona State University and a passion for teaching and mentoring students in science and psychology. Currently, I serve as a Teaching Assistant for Physiological Psychology (PSY 325) at ASU, where I assist students in understanding complex neuroscience and psychology concepts. My role involves leading discussions, clarifying challenging topics, and helping students improve their problem-solving skills—all of which have deepened my love for teaching.

Beyond my TA experience, I have a strong background in microbiology, psychology, and research, having worked in multiple labs and assisted in research on the gut microbiome and its effects on mental health. This experience allows me to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, helping students see the relevance and impact of what they’re learning.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my methods to fit individual needs—whether it’s breaking down difficult concepts, using visual aids, providing real-world examples, or developing effective study strategies. My goal is not just to help students pass their courses but to build confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the material.

I am passionate about science education and aspire to become a teaching professor one day, making high-level scientific concepts more accessible and exciting for students. In addition to college-level tutoring, I am also available to tutor high school and middle school biology students, helping them strengthen their foundational knowledge and excel in their coursework.
