"Study anxiety? Impostor syndrome? Everyone else is getting it while you pretend to nod along as you scratch your head? Been there. Done that. The thing is, not everyone learns the same way, and not everyone appreciates the teaching style of the instructor who has to a whole batch of students to teach at the same time. That's where I can help.

I graduated with an Associate's degree in Chemistry and was pursuing an undergrad in Chemical Engineering when I caught the IT bug. So I switched majors and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's in Software Development instead. That being said, my foundations in Chemistry and Math are pretty solid, which are my favorite subjects to tutor!
Officially I've been tutoring for 5+ years, although unofficially I've been tutoring my peers and relatives as early back as when I was a junior in high school. My teaching style discourages rote memorization (unless you're memorizing 60+ different reactions for an Organic Chemistry 2 final exam - "yikes!").
I look at learning as a narrative, like a movie with plot holes that you need to fill to understand the complete story. That's why I focus on conceptual understanding employing a visual and kinesthetic style, with lots of diagrams and examples. So far, it hasn't let me down.
So let's join forces and tackle whatever it is that you're finding challenging in your lifelong academic journey. As somebody who has tutored students from ages 12 - 55 (that's right!), I'm confident my flexible and friendly approach can help sharpen your skills!" less...
