"Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am a certified 6-12 Social Studies teacher in Georgia. I am also certified to teach in the special education setting. I have experience working with all grades 6-12 with the exception of 11th grade, and am very motivated in helping students achieve their goals. I graduated from Clayton State University, earning a B.A. in history and an M.A.T. in history as well. I am about to start my third year as a full time teacher, teaching middle school Social Studies.

As a tutor, I pride myself on providing a wholistic approach to educating my students. I cater to the needs of my students. Building a strong connection with my students is what I strive to achieve from my sessions, in addition to seeing them excel in school. Methods I enjoy using in my sessions include but are not limited to: scaffolding, modeling, socratic questioning, goal setting, and exit tickets. My main focus is on building up the critical thinking skills of my students, whether I have my teaching or tutoring hat on. Seeing the progress that each student makes is gratifying!

Teaching is in my blood, as it is a family tradition of my family's dating back many years. My grandmother's on both sides of the family were teachers, my mother is a teacher, and now so am I! That being said, it is my hope that I can assist in any way I can to help you not just survive, but thrive! Thank you for your time and I hope to serve you and/or your student!
