"Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! I’m a certified middle school teacher with a Master’s in Teaching from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor’s in Education from Chico State. Over the past three years, I’ve taught English Language Arts and Social Studies to students in grades 6–8, helping them grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve tutored students after school in study skills, essay writing, and social studies content, giving them the extra support and strategies they need to succeed. I have experience working with learners of all abilities, including students with ADHD, and I adjust my approach so every child feels confident, capable, and supported. My tutoring focuses on reading comprehension, essay writing, historical thinking, and organizational skills, all with the goal of building both academic strength and self-belief.

Outside the classroom, I’ve guided students through the private high school admissions process, including interview preparation and personal statement coaching. I believe in creating a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks.
