"Hi my name is Avery and I am excited to start this learning journey with you!

With 10 years of teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to create fun and engaging learning experiences for learners from Kindergarten to 5th grade. My focus has been on self-contained special education classes, where I have taught all subjects. I have also been lucky enough to teach in the vibrant state of Nevada. My Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a major in Special Education has provided me with the knowledge and skills to ensure that every student has access to quality education.

Apart from English, I am fluent in Tagalog/Filipino, which has been a great asset in connecting with my students and their families. Online learning can be challenging, but I have found ways to make it enjoyable and effective for my learners. By using interactive slides, incorporating activities based on their interests, and implementing token boards, my students get excited about learning and actively engage in the lesson. I also make sure to use pre and post assessments and gather data to ensure that my learners are making progress.

In my free time, I love indulging in my interests and hobbies, such as photography and collecting Spongebob items. These interests definitely influence my teaching style, as I am always on the lookout for what's trending with kids and their favorite characters.
