"Hello! My name is Kari and I am a current middle school English and Social Studies teacher. I have been a middle school English & Social Studies teacher for the past 5 years, and have multiple years of experience previous in all subjects K-8. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies (General Education), a Master's Degree in Education, a multi-subject teaching credential, a single subject English teaching credential, G.A.T.E. certification, and have developed curriculum for both middle school English and Social Studies. In English, I have taught and developed curriculum for novel studies books such as "The Hobbit", "The Outsiders", Harriet Tubman's Biography, and "The Lightening Thief". I have also taught and developed curriculum for middle school grammar that includes figurative language, sentence structure, vocabulary, and MLA formatting and citations. In Social Studies, I have taught and developed curriculum for ancient civilizations such as Medieval Europe, Ancient China, Mesoamerica, Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt, and many more ancient civilizations.

While in college, I worked at an SAT/ACT tutoring company where I tutored the SAT/ACT reading and writing, as well as elementary, middle, and high school English. I currently tutor English Language Arts and Literature to middle and high school students, as well as tutor students K-8 in English, Science, and History/Social Studies.
