"Hi! My name is Josh, and I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering Physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I have a concentration in Spacecraft Systems and minors in Astronomy and Applied Mathematics.
I’ve been a professional math and physics tutor for over 10 years, working with students at all levels. I’ve tutored at Saint Petersburg College, Mathnasium, Embry-Riddle, and through private practice. I’ve also been an adjunct professor in physics at Saint Petersburg College, as well as a high school teacher, teaching courses such as AP Physics C (Mechanics and E&M), AP Statistics, Calculus, and Physics.
Currently, I work at Saint Petersburg College’s Collegiate High School as the STEM Learning Coordinator, where I manage a study room for juniors and seniors and provide tutoring support in math and physics.
Everyone learns differently, but most are taught the same way. This often leads to frustration and a loss of confidence when trying to understand something new. Over the years, I’ve worked with students from elementary school through college and have seen how much of a difference it makes to explain challenging concepts in simple, relatable terms. Creating a comfortable learning environment and working until I see that “aha!” moment is why I love tutoring.
In addition to the official topics listed, I can also tutor Vector Calculus, Partial Differential Equations, Modern Physics, Classical Mechanics, and Electricity & Magnetism.
If interested, please reach out! I’ll respond as quickly as possible." less...
