"My name is Martin and I am a current medical student candidate with a deep background in STEM subjects. I have previously graduated with a master’s degree in Medical Genetics and Genomics and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. I love science and all aspects of STEM! Science in itself is a study to challenge the current principles that provide an evidence-based foundation, and some of which I find to be fascinating and thrilling to endure. However, I realized the importance of fundamental knowledge and making connections between concepts. Learning the material and making connections is not just the ability to learn material in class, but also to be able to compartmentalize and internalize the information. This process, however, is unique to each individual and is vital to others towards understanding and integrating knowledge.

I have over 10 years of tutoring/teaching experience, teaching students of various learning styles. I have taught business and STEM to students of all grade school ages with unique study habits that may have not fit well for traditional schooling. I provided one-on-one support to the students and tailored to their individual learning styles for each class. I also focused on creating a fun and engaging atmosphere to make learning more fun! I have also provided both volunteer and private tutoring services to students in STEM and standardized testing (SAT and ACT), to which I applied my approach in tailoring education to the needs of each student. Many of my students have gone to later attend great universities, with a mutual celebration of their success and further pursuit in their learning.

I hope to provide not just knowledge to my students, but also help them reflect on methods that work best for each.
