With a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a love for kids, it would only be natural for me to turn my passion into my career. I have 15 years of tutoring experience and 9 years of teaching experience with grades K-2. Virtual teaching during Covid has helped me become rather tech savvy as well, so the bulk of my tutoring is actually completed online.

I can happily tutor in all subjects for elementary students and can tutor in English and Writing for middle school. I would be interested in Science and Math as well, depending on the unit being discussed; however, as a Journalism major, writing is my forte. I recently completed my Orton-Gillingham plus certification and would love to help your child read.

While teaching in DC, half my students had an Individual Education Plan (IEP) set in place because of their special needs. I worked with them in a small group setting in order to strengthen their foundation skills in all subjects. My teaching has yielded great results. I have a lot of experience working with children who come from different backgrounds/ possess different learning styles.
