"Hello! My name is Heather and I am a RN case manager for a large home health network. I love my job and helping patients day in and out. I have been in healthcare for over 20 years. I started as a Medical Assistant and CNA. Then I received my ADN from the College of Lake County. There I also helped with peer tutoring and skills lab tutoring. After my ADN I moved onto my BSN which I received from Grand Canyon University. I also enjoyed helping with peer tutoring there as well. The most recent degree I have achieved in my MSN in Nursing with an emphasis in Case management. I graduated there with a 4.0. During my time at Capella I also took nursing education classes and am currently working on my post graduate nursing education certificate. Past areas of work experience have been Home health for the last 6 years including case management. Internal medicine for the last 14 years as I still PRN there at times. Med/Surg, ER, Peds while working inpatient. I also worked in clinical Urology and OB/Gyne.

My tutoring experience has been all 1:1 in person and peer tutoring to date. As well as other online tutoring platforms. I have helped support and tutor numerous nursing students through classes in nursing school and NCLEX prep.

My teaching style is adaptive to your needs. Whether that be feedback, teach back or a different learning style I will adapt to your needs. My goal is to teach you how to think critically and outside the box and study for success. I will help you to understand Evidence-based Nursing Practice, as well Test Preparation, Prioritization and Delegation, Problem Solving Skills, and Multiple Choice Strategies.
