"In high-school, I struggled significantly in mathematics. I finally sought out a tutor (begrudgingly, admittedly), and thanks to them, I graduated as the valedictorian of my class. Ironically, 12 years later, I have an MSPH in epidemiology and biostatistics (basically disease math), and am a PhD candidate. My tutor in high-school helped me build the foundation of my academic success; teaching is a passion of mine because I want to have the same impact.

Since high-school, I have had multiple opportunities to pursue that passion. In undergrad, I was a student tutor for sociology, anthropology, social science research methods, and scientific writing. While earning my Masters of Science in Public Health, I acted as a peer-mentor for newer students, and offered tutoring and advice in biostatistics, statistical analysis software, and scientific writing. Although I am now a working professional, I would still like to pursue my passion in teaching.

I graduated with an MSPH in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of South Carolina in 2018. After graduation, I worked for 3 years as a biostatistician and am now a second-year PhD candidate. Throughout the program, I have been extensively trained in quantitative analytics ranging from basic statistics to advanced regression models and tests.

Feel free to contact me anytime for questions you may have about my teaching experience, qualifications, or even challenges I faced as a student! I am here to help in any way I can." less...
