"I graduated in 2020 from Utah State University with a Master’s Degree in Technical Communication through the English Department. I was in the Honor’s Program at Westminster College and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2015. I am currently enrolled in the Editorial Freelance Association’s “Editing Children’s Picture Books” course, as well as UC San Diego’s Copyediting Certificate program.

I tutored students for six years and personally oversaw the editing and proofreading of thousands of pages in a previous job as the Lead Tutor in the Writing Center at Utah State University Eastern. My daily work involved correcting grammatical and punctuation mistakes and other sentence errors, as well as editing content for clarity, readability, and compliance with style manuals. I’m familiar with several different style guides, including the MLA, APA, and Chicago formats, and I have a great eye for format consistency within a work. I’m known for my ability to improve, standardize, or correct bibliographies or works cited pages.

I believe I am also a cheerful and personable tutor who successfully develops positive relationships with the students under my tutelage, maintaining an atmosphere of diplomacy and tact when offering feedback on their work.
