"Hi! I'm Fabio. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of South Carolina, with a minor in Media Arts Writing. In High School I was an honors student who excelled at AP and IB classes and scored very well on the SATs.

I did not always excel at math. In fact I had many stumbling blocks when I got into Algebra and Calculus. The problem for me were teachers that taught formulas and memorization, over comprehension. I was lucky enough to have a couple of really good teachers and tutors that helped me understand math as problem solving. Once I was able to understand the concepts, it didn't matter how the problems were moved around and rearranged, I was able to excel and Math actually became one of my strongest subjects. I aim to bring the same big picture approach to my students, and love it when we have a breakthrough.

I feel that my grasp of the English language is highly influenced by my childhood. I moved to the US when I was 3, and English was not my first language. My mother put me into pre-school and on my first day I did not know a word of English. These days I am very well versed in the language, as a writer who specializes in movie scripts I have a deep vocabulary and also recognize the difference between literary English and conversational English. I think that my unique background makes me very good at breaking down the language for someone who is learning it for the first time, or trying to improve their English writing.

My aim is to benefit the student I am working with as much as possible, and therefore welcome any resources or suggestions parents or students can provide.
