"I'm Elizabeth! I've worked in museums doing history and archaeology research for 20 years and the favorite part of my job is always teaching people about history. I've led student workshops, given talks at schools, taught as an assistant at an archaeological field school, and written website and app content for audiences of every age. I’m excited to work with students in a different way through tutoring and to help them gain a better understanding of historical events, strong research writing, and preparing for exams. I've tutored students in AP United States History, Algebra, writing, and test prep.

I graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia with a double major in History and Anthropology. My focus was, and continues to be, early American History, from the Contact Period to the Civil War. I hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, passing with high marks on my exams, and a certification in Statistics with R from Duke. For 15 years, I worked as a professional archaeologist before changing to digital engagement and web content development. My professional experiences have honed my research, writing, and editing skills.

I look forward to working with students in 8th grade and higher in the areas of History and Anthropology, and I'm improving their writing or test-taking skills, especially in preparation for IB or AP exams. I prefer to meet students online." less...
