"I’m a composer, violinist, and educator with a Ph.D. in Music Composition from UC San Diego. I’ve taught music composition, theory, and solfege to students ranging from elementary age to college level, both one-on-one and in classroom settings. I’ve also worked with students from multilingual and neurodiverse backgrounds, and founded a free online academy that teaches contemporary music to Persian-speaking students around the world.

My teaching is centered on listening, creativity, and building confidence. I help students break down complex ideas and find their personal voice in music. I teach solfege and aural skills using traditional tools such as a keyboard and metronome or using creative methods like drawing. In my violin instructions, I prioritize movement-based techniques, drawing from Body Mapping and Hugo Seling’s Wie Und Warum to set a healthy and flexible coordination and musicality. My composition students' works have been performed across the world.
