"Greetings! After obtaining a Masters degree in International Affairs (Economic and Political Development concentration), I spent twenty years teaching and tutoring my own children through their elementary and high school years. As testimony to my success in this endeavor, my youngest completed his last year of high school and was accepted at St. Olaf College along with two of his brothers attending there already. Now I would like to use my teaching skills to help others succeed.

In college I majored in International Development and also received a minor in music, taking voice, piano, sight singing, and music theory. During past years I have had the privilege to accompany a high school choir and high school musical production, and I have lead church choirs for both children and adults. I have also taught private piano and flute lessons for several years, most recently at a school for music and dance where I had an average of 20 students per week.

My strengths are in Music -- piano and flute with some voice; English -- writing, spelling, grammar, and literature; Elementary Math and Algebra; and I can also help in other subjects such as science, history, and classical literature. I especially enjoy working with foreign students, having grown up in a foreign country myself.
