"Hi! My name is Nathan and I am a current trumpet student at the University of North Texas. I am pursuing my bachelor's degree in music education. I'll start off by saying, yes, I am younger than most of the other options out there for tutors but I also now know things that I would've loved to know when I was in middle school and high school. I can get your student where they want to be whether that's a just to pick up a new hobby, or even to get into a music school in college.

I have previous teaching experience as a volunteer teaching assistant at the Stars and Stripes Band Camp in League City, Texas. There, I worked and learned under some of the best middle school and high school band directors in the area and gained very valuable teaching experience. I have also participated as a marcher and section leader in Drum Corps International, so if that is something your student is interested in, I can absolutely help them get there. I like to teach with a show then do method. I will always demonstrate for the student what I want them to do by doing it myself first and walking them through whatever it is we're working on. I can adjust to whatever the student's pace is and can work on whatever they would like to work on, or what their teacher/director/parent wants them to work on.
