"Hello and thank you for finding me. I have been a special education teacher for 15 years. I have been blessed exponentially. Working in wonderful districts throughout northeast Ohio and with devoted staffs led me to my current day position in Massillon where I have been for 9 years. I have worked with many different types of children including children with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD,other heath impairments, behavior problems and cerebral palsy. I have taught grades k-12 and I'm well versed in the (current) Common Core. I stay current in new strategies and ways to connect with kids. My current position is a Small Group Teacher (tutor) in the 7th grade.

My greatest blessing in life has been as mom to four wonderful children. My youngest is now a junior in high school. Three of my kids do have orthopedic impairments. I believe that this has allowed me to have a greater understanding and connection with the needs of children and the issues of parents. Growing up, my kids and I didn't do many baseball try-outs or gymnastics practices. We were recovering from the latest surgery. These experiences have made my children and I closer and stronger. (I have tough kids!) I relate well with children who have learning difficulties, health concerns or other issues which keep them from school. I connect well with parents because,in many cases, I was them. I'm grateful to God for allowing me the opportunity to become the strong person I am today." less...
